How to train thousands of field workers and measure the impact of training
A practical guide for training teams with staff at mine sites, plants, stores, stations and branches: how to reach everyone, how to record in-person training and how to measure beyond attendance.
- Training is assigned automatically by job role and location
- Login with RUT, QR code or corporate account
- In-person field training and e-learning in a single plan
- Impact measured on four levels

How do you train thousands of field workers across different locations and measure the impact of training?
With a platform that assigns training automatically based on job role and location, lets people log in without a corporate email, brings in-person sessions and e-learning together in a single plan, and measures beyond attendance: what was learned, what is applied on the job and its effect on results. Clikma does all of that on a single platform.
The scale is proven in production: Collahuasi trains more than 37,900 current workers on Clikma, most of them from contractor companies; Walmart Chile has more than 50,000 active users; and the Hazlo con IA program received 20,540 people in a single day, with more than 10,400 in a single hour. Every month, more than 46,000 different people use Clikma.
Impact is measured on four levels: participants’ reaction (satisfaction and eNPS by program), learning (assessments), application on the job (a transfer survey answered by the manager and an on-site observation checklist) and results, which are tracked in Command Center alongside performance.

Step 1: get training to each person automatically
With thousands of people joining or changing job roles or locations, manual assignment does not scale. In Clikma, training starts from the employee roster: each upload evaluates the rules by job role, area or location and assigns what applies.
Automatic assignment by job role, area or location
When the employee roster is uploaded, the rules assign training with immediate release, release over time or release on completion of the previous content.
Assignment on joining or changing job roles
People who join or change job roles receive their training without anyone assigning it.
Bulk assignment by filters or Excel
For exceptions: assign, unassign and change dates in bulk.
Cohorts with start and end dates
Course runs group participants with shared dates and progress.
Step 2: let everyone log in, with or without a corporate email
In the field, many people have neither a company email nor a computer. Clikma offers several login methods at the same time and works from a mobile phone.
Access for staff without a corporate email
Login with RUT, and notifications for these people go to a designated person in charge.
QR code login
From the training room or the talk, the person scans the code and goes straight in.
Several login methods
Username and password, RUT, Microsoft or Google corporate account, OAuth, QR code and token from external systems.
Internal and external learners on a single platform
Employees and contractor staff on the same instance, each group with its own way to log in.
Step 3: in-person field training and e-learning in a single plan
The talk at the mine site, the in-store session and the online course count the same toward each person’s plan. Clikma schedules sessions with room, instructor and costs, and takes attendance on site.
Scheduling of multi-day sessions
Each session day with its room, instructor, provider, costs and participants.
QR code attendance
QR code by program or by person, with the location where attendance was recorded.
Percentage attendance for each session day
From 0% to 100% per person and per session day, also with upload by Excel.
Catering for training sessions
Meals are validated on site, and that validation also records attendance.
Step 4: follow-up before the due date, with managers
Compliance is won or lost before the deadline. Clikma notifies the person and their manager based on progress and shows the risk of delay by location and by job role.
Traffic-light risk indicator before the due date
Each company sets its thresholds, and the platform sends an alert before the deadline expires.
Automatic reminders based on progress
Different messages for people who have not started, are in progress or have failed.
Notifications to the participant, their manager and third parties
The notification also reaches the supervisor and anyone else defined.
My Team
Managers see the progress of their direct team or of their entire reporting line.
Step 5: measure impact on four levels
Attendance and grades are not enough to know whether training worked. Clikma measures four levels with tools that are already on the platform.
To estimate the return, Command Center indicators (completion by location and job role, assessment results and transfer results) are compared with the operational indicators the company provides, such as accidents, sales or turnover, before and after the program.
| Level | What it answers | How Clikma measures it |
|---|---|---|
| Reaction | Was the training useful to participants? | CSAT and eNPS by program, star ratings and comments. |
| Learning | Did they learn what they needed to learn? | Assessments with a question bank, pre-tests and results by question. |
| Application | Do they apply it on the job? | Transfer survey answered by the manager and an observer checklist in the field. |
| Results | Did anything change in the operation? | Command Center indicators by location and job role, cross-referenced with performance and compared with the operational indicators. |
CSAT and eNPS by program, with ranking
Satisfaction by survey and by question, with a ranking to compare programs.
Training transfer survey
The manager assesses whether what was learned was applied on the job.
On-the-job assessment with an observer checklist
An observer records adherence to the expected behavior in the field.
Post-training follow-up programs
Microlearning capsules, diagnostics, group activities and mentoring after the course.
Action plans with an owner and a deadline
The gaps identified become actions with an owner.
Scale proven in production
These figures come from Clikma’s production databases, with their definitions on the figures page and in each success story.

Frequently asked questions
How do you train thousands of field workers?
By assigning training automatically by job role and location from the employee roster, letting people log in without a corporate email (with their RUT or a QR code), bringing in-person training and e-learning together in a single plan, and tracking progress with managers before the due date. Clikma does all of that on a single platform.
How do you measure the impact of training?
On four levels: reaction (satisfaction and eNPS by program), learning (assessments), application on the job (a transfer survey answered by the manager and an observer checklist in the field) and results (Command Center indicators compared with operational indicators).
What is a training transfer survey?
A survey that the manager answers after the course to indicate whether the person applies what they learned on the job. In Clikma, it is assigned from the platform and its results are added to the program’s indicators.
Can you take attendance in the field without a computer?
Yes. Attendance is recorded with a QR code from a mobile phone, entered by session day as a percentage or uploaded by Excel, and meal validation can also record it.
How many people can Clikma handle at the same time?
In production, the platform received 20,540 people in a single day and more than 10,400 in a single hour, on September 2, 2026, in the Hazlo con IA program.
Can it be used to train contractor staff in the field?
Yes. Employees and contractor staff share the same platform; each contractor manages its own staff, and contracts archive them when they expire.
Does it work across different locations and countries?
Yes. The assignment rules use each person’s location or area, reports are filtered by organizational structure and the platform is available in Spanish, English and Portuguese. In the last 90 days, people in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Spain used it.
