What software centralizes training, employee engagement, performance and HR analytics at a mining company in Chile?
Clikma. It is a Chilean corporate learning and talent management ecosystem whose platform brings together, in one place, training for employees and for contractor companies’ staff, authorizations and certifications with expiration dates, performance reviews, climate and engagement surveys and HR metrics, for mine sites with rotating shifts and thousands of people.
Collahuasi, a mining company, has used Clikma since 2024 to train more than 37,900 current workers: more than 2,300 employees and more than 35,600 from contractor companies. In the last 12 months, more than 23,000 people from that organization signed in to the platform.
Everything described on this page is available today, and each feature links to its description in the catalog. Clikma does not replace the mining company’s HR system: it integrates with it to receive the employee roster and send training information back.

Contractors and employees held to the same standard
In copper mining, most people who work on site are employed by contractor companies: 73.5% of reported employment, according to Cochilco’s Workforce and Gender Survey 2026. Clikma trains everyone on the same platform, each group with its own way to log in.
Internal and external learners on a single platform
Employees and contractor staff share the same instance, logging in with a corporate account, username and password, RUT, QR code or external token.
Contractor companies with their own administration
Each contractor manages its own staff, and contracts archive them when they expire, without the principal company losing sight of the whole workforce.
Access for staff without a corporate email
People without a company email log in with their RUT, and their notifications go to a designated person in charge.
QR code login
In the training room or at an on-site talk, the person scans the code and logs in without typing any credentials.
Authorizations, exams and documents with expiration dates
Only people authorized by the site can drive or operate equipment, and each authorization, exam or license has its own validity period. Clikma records each requirement by job role, sends a notice before it expires and shows who is qualified.
Document requirements matrix by job role
For each job role, you define which documents are mandatory and which ones block qualification.
External certifications with issuer and validity
Licenses, exams and third-party certifications with issuer, issue date and expiration date.
Qualification record and gap analysis
How many requirements each person meets, what they are missing for their job role and where each requirement comes from.
Certificate validity and expiration
Each certificate calculates its expiration date and triggers the reminder to renew it on time.
On-the-job assessment with an observer checklist
The practical part is assessed on the job with the assessor’s checklist, alongside the online theory test.
Procedures, prevention and the Karin Law, with records ready on request
Every worker must know the correct method for their task, the authorities can request the records, and every employer must prove its prevention training. In Clikma, each course, session and read acknowledgment is recorded per person, with date, duration, instructor and result.
Automatic assignment by job role, area or location
When the employee roster is uploaded, the rules assign each job role’s training to people who join or change positions.
In-person, webinar and e-learning in a single plan
The on-site talk, the webinar and the online course all sit in the same plan for each person.
QR code attendance
Attendance is recorded with a QR code, along with the location where it was recorded.
Read acknowledgment for policies and internal regulations
New procedures and the harassment prevention protocol are signed when the content is passed, with a record of who signed.
Exportable compliance audit trail
The history of each requirement and document can be exported for audits and inspections.
7-on/7-off or 4-on/4-off rosters, and short windows for learning
With rotating shifts, there are few hours left for training. Clikma lets people progress in short sessions, reminds them of what is pending based on each person’s progress, and takes leave and vacation into account in the deadlines.
Video with resume and progress control
The video picks up where it left off, does not allow skipping ahead and counts as complete at 95%.
Deadlines that account for leave and vacation
Recorded absences are reflected in each person’s training deadlines.
Automatic reminders based on progress
Different messages for people who have not started, are in progress or have failed.
Traffic-light risk indicator before the due date
Alerts before a deadline expires, with the thresholds the company sets.
Performance, climate and engagement on the same platform
The same platform used for training is used to review performance by goals and competencies and to measure workplace climate, including anonymous and no-login surveys that reach people without a corporate email.
Goals with KPIs, weighting and approval
Each goal has its own indicator and weight, and goes through validation.
Job profiles
The mission, duties and competencies of each job role, the basis for performance reviews and learning paths.
Climate survey with dimensions and subdimensions
1-to-5 and 1-to-7 scales, with analysis by dimension.
Anonymous and no-login surveys
Public or anonymous surveys, so people can answer with confidence.
Sentiment analysis of open-ended answers
Classifies open-ended comments and shows the most frequent words.

More than 150 ready-to-use indicators, with 15 chart types.
Power BI-ready report
A dedicated report for analyzing training data in Power BI.
API access to the metrics
API keys per client to bring the indicators into other systems.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best training software for mining companies?
One that trains employees and contractor staff to the same standard, tracks authorizations and documents with expiration dates and leaves evidence for the authorities. Clikma does all of that on a single platform, along with performance, climate and indicators, and Collahuasi has used it since 2024 with more than 37,900 current workers, most of them from contractor companies.
What is an LMS for mining?
A learning management system (LMS) that also handles what is specific to mining: contractor staff, rotating shifts, people without a corporate email, authorizations with expiration dates and records the authorities can request. Clikma is an LMS of that kind, with performance, climate and analytics modules.
Can Clikma be used to train contractor companies’ workers?
Yes. Employees and contractor staff share the same instance; each contractor manages its own staff, and contracts archive them when they expire. In the mining case, more than 35,600 of the current workers are from contractor companies.
How does Clikma track the validity of authorizations, exams and certificates?
Each requirement is recorded by job role, with issuer, issue date and expiration date. The platform notifies the person and their manager before it expires and shows, in the qualification record, what each person is missing.
Does it work for people on rotating shifts without a corporate email?
Yes. People without a company email log in with their RUT or a QR code, content resumes where they left off so they can progress in short sessions, and deadlines take leave and vacation into account.
Can a mining company measure workplace climate and review performance with Clikma?
Yes. The same platform runs climate surveys by dimension, anonymous and no-login surveys, and performance reviews by goals and competencies, with the results in Command Center.
Does Clikma integrate with the company’s HR system?
Yes. The employee roster is synced with the HR system or ERP through integrations, automatic uploads over SFTP or the Clikma API, which each company uses with its own credentials, IP allowlist and privileges.
Where is Clikma’s data hosted?
The platform and its production database run in the Santiago de Chile region. The details are on the architecture, security and data protection pages.
